No, for liability and insurance reasons, it is safer for the artwork to remain with you.

We can examine the painting through:

  • High-resolution photos
  • Live video feed (such as a Zoom meeting)
  • At any art storage facility worldwide
  • In person at your residence, office, bank, hotel while traveling, or any location you prefer

We conduct all necessary tests for authentication, including material analyses, dating, special photography, and forensic studies. The specific tests required may vary depending on the case.

A few days for a print. For paintings, it can range from a couple of weeks for simple cases to several months for more complex ones.

We do not charge for issuing a Certificate of Authenticity (COA). If the artwork is deemed authentic, we automatically provide the COA.

We do not charge for many inquiries, advice, value estimates, and for select organizations and projects we support. For other services, fees start at $300.

Examination - We offer comprehensive artwork examination services at a location that is most convenient for you. Our experts can assess your artwork at your residence, office, bank, attorney’s office, art storage facility, or even at your hotel if you're traveling. Additionally, we are available to conduct examinations at art galleries, auction houses, government agencies, customs ports, law enforcement offices, warehouses, places of worship, organizational premises, libraries, colleges, museums, or conservatory studios and laboratories. Please note, for insurance and liability reasons, we do not conduct examinations at our own facilities.
